Hi SSYSL Families!
We will be hosting our very first In-person Referee course that is available to anyone interested!!
This event will be all day due to covering the required courses and the field session. (If you are getting re-certified, then you do not have to stay for the field session.)
The date is Saturday, March 23, 2024 and we will begin at 8am. The location will be at our indoor facility. (30 Front Street in Fall River. Our entrance door is on the side that faces the Sherwin Williams. We are on the top floor. No cleats allowed on the field, please wear sneakers or indoor soccer shoes.) Please arrive 20 minutes early to check in.
This will save everyone a ton of time and frustration, and simplify the certification process. This session can be for any referee that is needing to be re-certified, or first time certified. Below, I will list the requirements and pre-work for both to attend the session.
First Time Certification
- An account and profile must be created on:
http://Massref.net
- Must be a minimum of 14 years old
- If over 18 years of age, a BackGround check will be required
- Must complete the mandatory online session of: US Soccer Learning Center: Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments - There are a few options to chose from, but space is limited for the online class. Please book asap.
- There is a fee of $115 for New Referees. This will need to be paid in order to receive your badge. It is not required to be paid before the in-person session. - Payment is to be made on http://Massref.net
- All other requirements will be fulfilled during the in-person session
Re-Certification
- Log into: http://Massref.net
- Must complete the mandatory online session of: US Soccer Learning Center: Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments - There are a few options to chose from, but space is limited for the online class. Please book asap.
- There is a fee of $50. It is not required to be paid before the in-person session. - Payment must be made on http://Massref.net
- If over 18, please make sure your background check did not expire. (I believe this is done every 3 years.)
- All other requirements will be fulfilled during the in-person session
