Fall Rec Program
Our Fall Recreation season is for the recreational player who is either just learning to play the game or has played it for a number of years. The program is set up in single (combined into 2yrs when necessary), co-ed age groups starting at U5 (4yrs old on or before July 31) and continuing until U14 (13yrs old on or before July 31). The fall season starts the last Saturday in August and continues through the second Sunday in November. Most age groups play games on Saturdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm, U13/14 plays on Sunday mornings (12:00pm to 3:00pm). The schedule rotates so teams do not play the same time every week. For the initial couple of weeks of the season, the teams will also play one game a week on a weeknight in order to allow the children to play one or two additional games while we still have daylight in the evening. All games are played at North Elementary School in Somerset. The teams will have practice once or twice a week in the evening, at the coach’s discretion.
Winter Indoor Program
We are very proud to continue to offer our Indoor Instructional Soccer Program during the cold winter months. Our indoor program is for the recreational player who is either just learning to play the game or has played it for a number of years. The program is set up in co-ed age groups starting at U5 and continuing until U14. The indoor season starts in early January and runs to the end of March with the first Saturday of February’s School Vacation week off. All age groups will have their indoor sessions on Saturday’s between 8:30am and 5:00p. The schedule rotates so teams do not play the same time every week. This program is held at our very own Indoor Soccer Facility which is located in Fall River. Our indoor facility has been open since the winter of 2000 and the Board of Directors are very proud of it, since if you haven’t seen it yet, you will be quite impressed. We have invested a lot of time and money in making this a great facility for the players of our league. Not many soccer leagues in this state or country can say that they have an Indoor Facility for their Players to learn and play the game of soccer once the weather gets cold.
This program will have approximately 12 to 10 training sessions with the season will be divided into two halves. The first half will be dedicated to teaching the players skills by playing fun games and drills. Each practice session will end with an instructional scrimmage game. The second half of the program will consists of instructional games where the teams will play a game for the entire training time against the other teams/players in their age group.
Space is limited so sign up early in order to have your child play a terrific sport and fun activity throughout the winter in a heated indoor soccer facility.
Registration will open in early September and closes at the beginning of mid November…
