Registration Information
2008 Fall Soccer Registration
is going on NOW!
Swansea-Somerset Youth Soccer League
(SSYSL) is NOW accepting registrations for the Fall 2008
Recreation Season. Our Fall season is for the recreational
player who is either just learning to play the game or has
played it for a number of years. The program is set up in
single, co-ed age groups starting at U5 (4yrs old on or
before 7/31/08) and continuing until U14 (13yrs old on or
before 7/31/08). The fall season starts the last Saturday in
August and runs through the first Sunday in November with
Labor Day & Columbus Day weekends off. Most age groups play
games on Saturdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm, U13/14
currently plays on Sundays. The schedule rotates so teams do
not play the same time every week. For the initial couple of
weeks of the season, the teams will also play one game a
week on a weeknight in order to allow the children to play
one or two additional games while we still have daylight in
the evening. All games are played at North Elementary School
in Somerset. The teams will have practice once or twice a
week in the evening, which is at the coach’s discretion.
Based on the great success of the enforced
cutoff date, we will once again NOT be accepting
registrations after the June 1st deadline. In order to make
registering your children as easy as possible, we have many
locations that you can pickup/print out the registrations
forms and two methods for submitting them to our league.
First, you can attend one of our in-person registration days
that we will be having throughout the spring and the
following is the schedule:

If you can not attend one of the in-person registration day,
you can pick up a registration form at the Somerset or
Swansea town libraries or by clicking on the link below to
print out a form. All you need to do is complete one form
for every child you are registering and either drop it off
at the in-person registration or mail it with your check to
the PO Box that is listed at the top of the form. Please
register as soon as possible since June 1st will be here
before you know it and you don’t want to miss the date and
not have your children play the great game of soccer.
